What the app is for

Meat Market Planner is a travel planner for people who want halal food handled. You pick a region, a city and the place you came to see. The halal spots near it are already there, with the straight line distance and how we know. You keep the ones you like, arrange them into a day, and take the whole thing offline.

It is also meant to be worth opening with no trip to plan: exploring a place should feel calm, and we design and test for that. Some places deserve a moment before the next thing, so the app lets you stay with one for as long as you like, with sound if you want it and none if you do not. There is no streak, no timer and no prompt to keep going, and leaving without saving anything is a good visit too.

How venues are chosen

The listings come from halal searches in each city, filtered by our own exclusions, and we decide what appears. Nothing is added because a restaurant paid for it, and nothing is removed because one did not.

How we know

Halal status is a classification we make, not a fact we copy. Each listing says which tier it landed in: Verified where our own checks reached the supplier, Likely halal where the name or a one-time read of public descriptions carried halal keywords, Listed where only the search did, and Partial halal where only some of the menu qualifies. Certifier records, an owner's own account of their sourcing, and traveller confirmations sit on top. None of it is a certification, and every card says so.

What the web is

These pages are the free preview and the place a shared link opens for someone without the app. They show each venue's name, area, cuisine and halal context, and a link to its Google Maps listing for photos, reviews and hours. They do not show ratings, prices or opening times, because we do not hold them.

The app is a one-time purchase on iOS and Android. There are no ads, no sponsored placements and no subscription.
