Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meat Market Planner, which is the website at meatmarketplanner.com and the Meat Market Planner mobile app for iOS and Android (together, "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Meat Market Planner is a travel planner. It presents the sights of a city and the halal food near each one, with our own classification of how we know, and it lets you save places and arrange them into days. Halal status is a classification we make and is not a certification. Coverage is thirty metro areas across ten countries and changes as we add cities.

3. Access and Pricing

The website is free to read and needs no account. The mobile app is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores take the payment, set the price in your local currency and handle refunds under their own terms. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase. An account is optional and exists so your saved places can follow you to another device and so you can share a list or a day as a link.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service, whether through automated tools (bots, spiders, crawlers, scripts) or manual bulk collection
  • Mirror, frame, or embed any part of the Service on another site or application
  • Use data obtained from the Service to build, train, or populate any competing product, service, or dataset
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to derive our underlying methods from Service outputs
  • Access the Service through any interface other than the ones we make available, or circumvent any technical protective measures we put in place
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through any form we make available, including venue submissions, corrections, flags and owner attestations

We may enforce these restrictions through rate limiting, IP blocking, CAPTCHAs, or other technical measures at our discretion. Violations may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.

5. Intellectual Property and Proprietary Data

The Meat Market Planner dataset is a curated compilation protected under 17 U.S.C. Section 103. It is not a simple aggregation of public information. Every venue in the dataset reflects substantial human editorial judgment and proprietary classification. The selection, arrangement, and structure of the data are original to Meat Market Planner.

Our curation methodology, data pipeline, and classification logic are proprietary trade secrets. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer or reconstruct these methods by analyzing Service outputs or behavior.

Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the data for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit any portion of the dataset or its contents. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved.

The Meat Market Planner name, logo, and trade dress are our property. Restaurant names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. DMCA and Copyright Complaints

If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notification to contact@meatmarketplanner.com. Your notice must identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and where it appears, your contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate, and your signature.

7. Data Accuracy

We work to keep our restaurant data accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that every detail (halal status, hours, ratings, menus) is correct at any given moment. Restaurant information changes without notice. Always verify critical dietary requirements directly with the restaurant.

8. Halal Confidence Disclaimer

Meat Market Planner may display halal confidence notes based on available information, user submissions, and editorial review. These notes reflect available context, not an absolute guarantee. If you have strict dietary requirements, confirm directly with the restaurant before visiting.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for mapping, data processing, and data storage. When you use features powered by these providers, their own terms and privacy policies also apply.

10. International Use

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws. By using the Service, you consent to having your data transferred to and processed in the United States, and you agree that disputes will be subject to Texas jurisdiction as described below.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. This includes suspected scraping, data extraction, intellectual property misappropriation, or any conduct we believe threatens the integrity of our dataset or Service.

On termination, all rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms end immediately. Sections 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, and 19 survive.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meat Market Planner, its owner, operators, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) that arise from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of any third-party rights, or your unauthorized extraction or use of data from the Service.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Meat Market Planner is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This includes, without limitation, any reliance on halal confidence notes or restaurant information.

14. Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising under these Terms or related to the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Texas, administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration body. The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. All proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.

Either party may still seek injunctive or equitable relief in court as described in Section 15.

If you prefer not to arbitrate, you may opt out by emailing contact@meatmarketplanner.com within 30 days of first using the Service. If you opt out, disputes will be heard in state or federal courts in Texas.

15. Injunctive Relief

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of our dataset, proprietary methods, or intellectual property would cause irreparable harm that monetary damages cannot adequately address. In such cases, Meat Market Planner may seek immediate injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction, without posting a bond or proving actual damages, and in addition to any other available remedies. This right applies regardless of Section 14 and extends to any jurisdiction where enforcement is sought.

16. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

17. Severability

If a court finds any provision of these Terms unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the rest of these Terms will remain in effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Meat Market Planner regarding the Service. They supersede all prior agreements and communications on the subject, written or oral.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
